Ornamental Quince

Chaenomeles speciosa 'umbilicata'

Vigorous suckering shrub, with spiny branches and deciduous oval leaves. In late winter and spring appear 5-petaled single dark pink flowers, spectacular. They are followed by summer fruit (quince) edible as jellies.

Uses: Mixed hedges, shrub beds
