Lace Lady Tree

Robinia pseudoacacia  •

Photo: Lace Lady Tree

This delightfully unusual small tree, also known as Robinia pseudoacacia Twisty Baby, is a dwarf member of the Black Locust or Acacia family. In spring, racemes of fragrant white flowers hang from the beautiful curled frame. Delicately rippling, dark green foliage turns to buttery yellow in the autumn, before falling to reveal the architecturally pleasing twisted and pendulous branches .

Robinia pseudoacacia Lace Lady makes an ideal focal point in a small garden as it will grow to just 2.5 x 2.5 metres in 20 years and provides seasonal interest from spring right through to winter.
