Beautiful black floral plants native to tropical regions of South-East Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand and the Yunnan Province of China. They thrive in shade (at least 60%) and are hardy in Zone 11, above 4.5 degrees. They like well drained soil and good air circulation, high humidity and lots of water.
From the family Dioscoreaceae. This plants flower petals grow to 12 inches across, and are a black/very dark purple hue. It grows 'whiskers' that can grow to 28 inches in length. The plant itself can reach 24-36 inches in height.
