The Hibiscus Syriacus "Marina" is an upright, vase-shaped, many-stemmed, deciduous shrub that grows about 8-12 feet tall. It is from the Malvaceae Family. It produces blue-lilac flowers with purple throats and white fluffy-looking stamen. This plant blooms from July to October, and prefers full sun to partial shade. It requires little maintenance and only medium watering in rich, moist but well drained soils. Although it will tolerate poor soils and grows well in urban areas.
