General description
A tuberous plant, grown for its attractive mottled stalk and striking spadix and spathe. Summer-flowering, it is notorious for the carrionlike smell which attracts pollionating flies. Best placed where the odor and flies aren't too obtrusive.
Plant requirements
Prefers rich soil high in organic matter, plenty of moisture, excellent drainage and full sun to part shade. Tolerates wet or dry in summer, but prefers moist conditions.
