General description

Evergreen pteridophyte with bipinnately (doubly) compound leaves and a trunk that pronounce its resemblance to a small palm tree. It is originated from Australia and Tazmania.

Plant requirements

It grows in shady places and in humus-rich, acid soil, and it requires abundant irrigation, as well as high air humidity when in warm climates.
 

Maintenance

Plant in flower pots and keep indoors at winter.

Practical use

Propagated with suckers occurring at the base of the rhizome and with spores.
