General description
Shrubby perennial from the Mediterranean. Traditionaly used as a culinary or medicinal herb. Flowers in late spring, summer.
Plant requirements
Zones 2-24; H1, H2
Full sun (give afternoon shade in very hot climates)
Maintenance
Delay pruning until new leave unfurl, then cut just above growth. Cutting into wood usually causes dieback.
Replace every 3-4 years when plants become woody.
Can get root rot when there is inadequit drainage.
