General description

Beautifully fragrant, more commonly known as 'Garden Pinks'. Unlike traditional tall carnation varieties (to which they are related) which are used for cut flowers, these charming plants produce smaller blooms on shorter stems that hover just above the foliage and therefore require no staking. They also will repeat bloom, producing a profusion of double flowers throughout their peak period for an eye-catching and perfumed display.
Fast to establish in a sunny spot with well draining soil they are quite dry tolerant preferring dry rather than 'wet feet'. For most prolific flowering, however, regular deep watering should be given during extended dry periods.
Currently available in the SUNDAE range are three varieties:
D. 'Coconut Sundae' - beautiful crisp white petals with vibrant red centre
