General description

Dark green with a creamy white margin, some marginal streaking over the green causing a graying appearance. Known in Japan as "Fukurin Ohatsuki Giboshi". The same as H.'Frank Sedgewick', H.'Hauser Silver Edge and H.'Rocknoll Snow Edge'. When comparing H.'Fortunei Albomarginata' and H.'Undulata Albomarginata', the fortunei is larger and has pointed ends. In the spring the undulatas have white edges while the fortunei has a yellow edge. The undulata's edges have a slight ripple and the ends are more blunt. Rarely set seed.

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Keep well-watered during hot weather. Apply a summer mulch to retain moisture. Annually with organic matter. Keep well-watered. Fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil.
