General description

A large size hybrid of an F2 seedling of H. William Lachman x Hosta pycnophylla, this non-registered cultivar is from Kevin Vaughn. The 22 inch high mound spreads to 46 inches in width with slightly wavy foliage with smooth texture. Its pale purple flowers bloom on red dotted scapes starting in mid July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Kevin Vaughn named this superior cultivar for his mother. Not only does it offer attractively variegated foliage, but it has a fast growth rate, an interesting flower habit, and good durability in the garden.
