Features: Hostas remain attractive from spring to frost, and increase in value with every passing year. An attractive mound of thick blue, heavily ribbed leaves that are slug resistant send up showy violet flowers in summer. Ht: 14-16 inches. Blooms in August. Attracts hummingbirds. Hardiness zones 3-9.
Part shade to shade. Plant in moist, but well-drained humus-rich soil. A shady exposure will result in more intense blue leaves.
Remove faded flower stalks for best display.
Excellent for groundcover, border foundation, hillside or accent planting. A splendid choice to brighten dull, shady corners or to add texture beneath shrubs.
