Hymenocallus x festalis(Sacred Flower of the Aztecs) comes from Central America and flowers from late summer to autumn. 
From the center of the clump, strap-like leaves grow a 30cm stem topped by an umbel of lightly scented white flowers, each one about 12cm across, looking like a large spidery daffodil. They like humus rich, well drained soil, and are happy in full sun to partial shade.
