General description

Mint is an exhaustive family, Spearmint or Moroccan Mint is a refined strain of the common garden mint with more pungent leaves. 

Plant requirements

Grow in a pot by the back door for handy access. Best plant for under the dripping tap!

Maintenance

Has a tendancy to get leggy. Regular picking or a good cutback will ensure a neat and compact bush. Beware in good moist conditions this plant will spread and become a weed.

Practical use

This is the best mint for tea. Ideal for making mint teas, popping in iced water with some lemon juice and for adding a bit of zip to a garden salad.
