A tall spreading shrub useful for filling in large spaces rapidly. The leaves are 10 - 12cm long, green above with a silvery grey underside. The flowers are rather untypical of most Buddleja being in clusters of tight round heads 2 - 3cm across in May or June. (Much earlier than Buddleja davidii) In milder areas this species can retain its foliage over the winter making it a valuable screening plant.
