 Note  •  Published on: 31 Mar 2017
Forsythia began to bloom today along the lehigh gap section of the Appalachian mountains in pennsylvania. you ever wondered when the best time to prune your roses and summer blooming shrubs is? Forsythis is an indicator plant which means the opening of its flowers are very important when scheduling your pruning. Once it blooms, this is your regions indicator of the spring thaw beginning. Wait a week and and you can begin to prune your roses/ summer flowering shrubs ( ex. butterfly bushes, carypoteris.)
