Hellebores dying out?

 Note  •  Published on: 20 Jul 2016

Have about 10 of these Hellebores that were planted in new landscaping this spring. Soil is moist but not soggy, all other plants thriving, but these are dying out or maybe going dormant?

Any insight would be appreciated! I don't know the variety as they were planted by landscaper who has become impossible to contact.

  • Rosa G. Rosa G. Looks las if they're suffering from a severe nutriĆ«nt deficiency; what kind of soil do you have there? Helleborus' hate acidic soil. They also want a shady spot or at least have some dappled shade. They very much dislike the heat of the sun.

  • Janet W. Janet W. I have had years years of joy from my Hellebores and they are in the open sun. They come into their own during the winter/spring time. However I think it looks like soil deficiency as the
    previous reply has suggested.
