Crabby Concha

 Blog  •  Published on: 23 Jun 2016

The Ceanothus 'Concha' I named 'Connie' is sulking, and I can't say I blame her. After making it known she had had more than enough to drink, thank you VERY much, by turning her tiny green leaves yellow and brown, and throwing a few around in a temper, she then endured nearly two weeks of constant and very intense rain. She is now devoid of blooms since the harsh gale force winds tormented and bullied her, and she's looking a bit thin and dejected. I can well imagine she's just about had enough, and will secretly enjoy the 22°C-32°C temperature today, despite looking most put out. Unfortunately, there's a thunder and lightning storm (with torrential rain) reported for this evening. I'm expecting a complete meltdown from her.
