What is eating my buddleia? It's making lace of it's leaves. The same thing seems to be happening to my Japanese Kiera. I can't find any webbing (mites),

Patrick L. Not mites, they suck. This is a chewer. Could be sawfly larvae, definitely caterpillar though. Check bottom side of leaves near bottom of plantSaturday January 1, 2022 at 15:20
MARCIA K. It turns out that it was thrips! I cleared all debris and mulch etc. under the plant and found a zillion of them. Once I got rid of them, the plants were fine!!Monday January 3, 2022 at 20:00
