    Are there any garlic growers in the Northeast USA out there who recommend a particular variety? I picked up some German Red today, but have since found out it is a variety of Rocambole Garlic which taste great but are not good keepers. Also want something that will store well through winter.

    I cut off the main heads of the sunflowers (to save the seeds). To my surprise smaller sunflowers are popping out at the leaf joints?! I still am waiting for my laptop computer to be repaired before I can put up pictures.

    I took two grandchildren to BeachCreek Botanical Reserve and greenhouse. This is in Alliance, Ohio. Nice little botanical garden with nature trails. We made sure we got there early....temps. reached 94 degrees F. At home here it is 90 degrees F. under my big Pine Oak tree, today!!!
